First of all, I would like to warmly welcome you to the 11th edition of the Colegio Fontanar Model United Nations (CFMUN). This event has become a cornerstone in our school, expected year after year, and has continued uninterrupted for over a decade.

On behalf of the entire CFMUN XI team, I hope you have an enriching experience investigating, debating, and finding solutions within your committees. Through your participation, you contribute to building and leaving a legacy—a legacy of progress and collaboration for our present and future generations. The foundation for this legacy has already been laid, and it is up to us to continue its construction, striving to bring out the best in ourselves during these pivotal moments. Together, let us always seek the common good, embodying the values of generosity and support for those who need it most.

Model United Nations provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the world, even while still young. It is a platform to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a sense of global responsibility. We are truly honored to host this event and to witness the passion and dedication of young minds like yours, all working towards making the world a better place.

Dear Delegates, Advisors, and Observers,

It is an honor to serve as the Director General of CFMUN XI. This year, we have worked tirelessly to ensure you have the best possible experience during this event. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for making the 11th edition of CFMUN a reality.

Throughout the event, you will encounter various challenges—not only within the topics of your committees but also in your interactions with other delegates. I eagerly await seeing the marvelous (and diplomatic) ways you navigate these situations, learning from one another along the way.

If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be this: remain open to others. This event is the perfect opportunity to embrace that mindset. In my experience, Model United Nations is not only a platform for debating global issues but also an opportunity to understand that our differing perspectives are not necessarily contradictory—they can be complementary. When we choose collaboration, we pave the way for the best solutions to emerge.

Finally, I encourage you to reflect on the legacy you wish to leave behind. Whether by solving pressing issues, making meaningful improvements, or inspiring change, we all have the chance to contribute to a brighter future.
